The Double Eccentric (Double Offset) design incorporates an offset shaft and disc arrangement, ensuring that the sealing ring remains completely unstressed in the open position. During operation, the disc disengages from the seat with minimal rotation, eliminating friction between the sealing surfaces. This results in reduced operating torque, minimized wear, and extended seal life compared to conventional butterfly dampers.

In the closed position, the disc is positioned perpendicular to the flow direction, providing tight shut-off in both directions. The sealing is achieved through a specially designed elastic profile seal ring, securely fixed with a stainless steel retaining ring, ensuring reliable and consistent sealing performance.

SUDE Series 20000 Dampers are lightweight, compact, and cost-effective, offering superior performance in both on/off and modulating applications. Designed with fabricated construction and precision engineering, these dampers ensure zero body leakage and zero stem leakage, making them ideal for critical applications requiring tight shut-off.

Working Principle:

Open Position
